Golf for Good.
Our mission is…
to be a safe and welcome place that inspires hope and a healthy and prosocial future for children and young people, who have experienced adverse childhood experiences and trauma.
to be a safe and welcome place that inspires hope and a healthy and prosocial future for children and young people, who have experienced adverse childhood experiences and trauma.
The Kendleshire Kids Foundation’s programme is about using golf for the development of young people, ‘Golf for Good’, who have experienced adversity and trauma and to support them in building resilience for the future and improve physical health. We are the first ‘trauma responsive’ #SportForGood and #GolfForGood charity in the world. Empowering young people by building resilience, self- esteem, encouraging teamwork and teaching life skills are all important for their future outcomes.
Over the past few years we are extremely grateful for all of the people who have volunteered to be a part of The Kendleshire Kids Foundation.
We have spent over 6 years creating The Kendleshire Kids Foundation, growing from just an idea to a registered charity.
We have had over 72 young people involved in the programme and many people supporting fundraising events on behalf of our cause.
Nearly all members of our team are highly experienced in working with children and young people and many are highly qualified in their respective fields.
To be part of the programme, referrals are accepted from schools or other avenues and there is no time restriction for them to be part of this great cause. Our aim is to support vulnerable and disadvantaged young people through a youth engagement programme with trusted adults, using a trauma responsive approach. Golf is used as the supporting tool for the programme. Get in touch to find out more.
