IT ALL STARTED WHEN…

With a career in marketing spanning in excess of 30 years, Heather has experience of working in a blue-chip Corporation through to a small business environment.

During her time with Microsoft Corporation, Heather was responsible for leading a team of European based event personnel to deliver multi-million dollar, self-funded event programmes. This experience provided her with the opportunity to develop excellent interpersonal skills, enabling her to communicate effectively across all levels within the organisation and its supporting partner network, whilst navigating through the myriad of varying cultural challenges. Amongst many things, these experiences taught Heather the importance of listening, seeking first to understand, before moving ahead in a collaborative manner.

For the past 17 years Heather has been co-owner of GolfGarb, where she has seen the business grow to be the UK’s leading ladies online golf clothing store that it is today. As part of her role, Heather is responsible for collaborating with Golf Clubs by way of supporting both their professional shops and Club events to provide a ladieswear solution for their lady members.

As a golfer of over 20 years, Heather is well aware of how the game is a great leveller. There is a need to focus which allows you to go into a different head space – a safe haven sometimes, away from the noise of life. This is invaluable for young people and adults alike.

I feel passionate that young people should have access to a safe and nurturing environment where they may develop the skills that can set them on the right path for a more secure future. I believe enormously in the work that the Kendleshire Kids Foundation is doing and I am proud to help support their efforts in any way I can.
