Welcome to The Kendleshire Kids Foundation Newsletter April and May 2023
Finally the sun has come out and we are able to get on with more golf and more fun
This is what we have been up to!
The KKF Team :-)
A MESSAGE FROM OUR CEO DAWN WARD
Hello everyone
Well here we are, well into the spring, and enjoying our time with your young people on the golf course! More new young people continue to join us and are enjoying the challenge of golf for the first time, in many cases.
It has been an incredibly busy time, forging even further partnerships as word spreads about our programme.
Our Charity Golf Day has been moved to 30th August so anyone wanting to play, do please contact me or complete the entry form attached. We are welcoming teams from schools and any of our working partners or funding organisations. Those from funding organisations should contact me, in the first instance, to understand a different way to enter, subject to funding received. We are also welcoming sponsorship of holes on any of our 18 holes for the day so please do contact me if you would like to take up this offer.
A reminder that if anyone is able to raise funds for us, through charity events of any description, then please do let us know and we can provide marketing items for you. If you know of any businesses, or your own workplace, that would like to support us, or make us their Charity of the Year to support, then please let me know by emailing me at : info@kendleshirekidsfoundation.org
Signing off until next time!

STREET GAMES
Our CEO Dawn went to The end of project Street Games Conference and events centre.
This was to meet all partners in the project and discuss how the project, funded by the Ministry of Justice, was received in the communities.
Research on the project is currently being undertaken.

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Probably one of the wettest KKF sessions... EVER!!
Back in April... remember it was very very wet? Well one of the wettest days seem to land on one of our Monday groups.
As the rain was driving in, we decided to make things interesting (and quite competitive :-)) by adding tiny targets out on the range for the boys to hit.
I must say the aim small, miss small scenario was a prime example here.
The boys all did really well considering the conditions... I would like to add, the balloons did not get popped.. until next time :-)
And then on the other end of the British weather spectrum... the sun came out and we were able to get out on the academy.
If you know our very own Emma you will know she is slightly obsessed with dogs :-) As well as golf and being outside sometimes a friendly doggy helps make people happy... Castor is Harry's dog, he makes Emma and the boys Happy :-)
This is a picture of one of our young people, Logan. He received a certificate for donating £32.10 from a cake sale at his School. Well done Logan, we are very proud of you at the KKF
You can make a difference :-)
We are now live with our Donation link :-)
Your donations allow us to help more children and young people and improve their life chances by: providing leisure time activities and support to develop their skills, capacities and capabilities for the future, ‘Golf for Good’.
